The beginning of any working should be planning and research. Even if you have done a particular work a bunch of times, maybe there is something you might want to do different, like use a different ingredient, or bring in a different spirit/energy, or use different timing, or use a different prayer/petition, or maybe take advantage of something that is going on in your target's life or yours...Why? To see if it works better. At the very least, you're going to want to check and see that you have all of the things you need to do the work, and have it all assembled. Nothing kills the momentum of a work if you have to stop and find your matches or you find that the matches are going to be too short and you actually need something longer, so then the very mechanics of what you want to do aren't working. Planning and research helps you avoid all of that.
