Joe "Mike" Mazanec was a master griller and BBQ champion. Taking on "Papo Joe" from his grandkids, he was truly one of a kind.
Upon his passing in 1992, the tradition has been passed down to Jerry his son and Jason his grandson.
Jason, diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at 18 months of age, has been in a wheelchair now for 20+ years. Having a wonderful sense of humor and a "fun / won't stop" attitude, he has quickly climbed thru the ranks of the Steak Cookoff Association while competing with the best cookers in the world. The past three years, he has qualified and will be cooking at the Steak Cookoff Association World Championships and will be using this exact rub.
Our famous award winning Steak Seasoning took over a year to perfect.
