Great day for working on guitar bodies. Got the Ash body prep done including the custom control cavity cover. It took me 3 tries and a few hours, but I’m happy with it. Now it’s down to sanding. Got the level sanding and final clear coats done on the blue body. Got to give it time to cure then it’s ready for sanding and buffing. Hope y’all have a great weekend!

Starting on my next Tele build today. ash body with a maple neck/rosewood fretboard and black go fast parts. It will have a rear mounted control cavity and won’t have a pick guard to keep things clean to show off the wood grain.

6 coats of Lake Placid blue laid down. This is my view as sit I on my workbench and finish my cigar (plus a close up) and I can’t stop staring at it! I hope it plays as good as it looks.

I finally get to post these! I finished this kit LP style guitar for my daughter as a birthday gift. I’m super stoked with the way it came out, and I learned a lot during the process. Bring on the next one!
