Our very first meeting is Wednesday, August 26 at 6:00 PM, and we’d love for you to join us!

The Yarn Social is a free monthly gathering for anyone who loves creating with yarn. Knit, crochet, or enjoy another portable fiber craft? Bring your current project, pull up a chair, and spend a couple of hours creating in good company.

No lessons. No pressure. Just conversation, inspiration, and a welcoming community of makers. 💚

Today is the day.
After 50 years, the moment we’ve been looking forward to is finally here.
For five decades, Brookside has been part of birthdays, weddings, holidays, family gatherings, first dates, milestones, and countless ordinary days that became treasured memories.

What began as a dream became a place.

That place became a tradition.
And that tradition became part of so many lives.

Today, we celebrate not just 50 years of Brookside, but 50 years of the people who made Brookside what it is.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, celebrated with us, worked alongside us, supported us, and helped shape this story: thank you.
Here’s to the memories behind us, the people beside us, and the new chapter still waiting to be written.

Over the years, we've watched neighborhoods grow, families grow, and generations return season after season. Many of you visited Brookside as children, and now you're bringing your own children and grandchildren through our doors.

We've never just grown plants. We've grown alongside the people who make this community so special.
As Brookside celebrates 50 years, we're excited to begin our next chapter with the opening of our new retail space. It's our way of continuing to invest in the community that has supported us every step of the way.

The best birthday gift we could think of wasn't cake or candles. It was creating more space to continue serving the community that has supported us for the past 50 years.
This project has been years in the making, and while there were plenty of questions, dust, and a little bit of chaos along the way, every step has been leading to something we're excited to share with you.
We can't wait to celebrate this milestone and officially welcome you to our new retail space on Saturday, August 15.

Fifty years ago, Brookside was just getting started with a dream, a love for growing, and a commitment to serving our community. Every season brought new opportunities, new memories, and new reasons to keep growing.

Now, 50 years later, we're preparing to begin another exciting chapter, and we can't wait to celebrate it with all of you.

You'll learn from licensed wildlife rehabilitators about the important role these magnificent raptors play in our local ecosystem, the challenges they face in the wild, and how we can all help protect the wildlife that calls our region home.

We’ve partnered with incredible small businesses that share our values and use a closed-loop refill system. That means the bulk containers our products arrive in are returned to the maker, professionally sanitized, and refilled instead of being thrown away.

Here’s how it works:

✨ Pay by the ounce—no more buying more than you’ll use.
✨ Don’t have a container? No problem! We have refillable bottles and jars available for purchase.
