Adrian Pearsall 1709-S Platform Sofa for Craft Associates

Dimensions:

Seat H 13"

🍃 Smoke-free Pet Free Clean Home 🍃

100% Original Adrian Pearsall Model 1709-S platform sofa for Craft Associates. Incredible mid-century modern design featuring a long sculptural walnut platform base, integrated end tables with drawers, brass-capped tapered legs, and white button-tufted upholstery.

The upholstery is exceptionally clean and the sofa presents beautifully. Walnut shows minor age-appropriate surface wear consistent with a vintage piece, but overall this is in excellent vintage condition.
A true statement piece and one of Pearsall’s more distinctive platform sofa designs.

This set comes from the iconic American of Martinsville company. This set was originally a 1950s era atomic blonde color, which at some point was painted black.

We started by completely stripping down the set, and spent particular focus and attention feeling all the dings and dents this set picked up over the decades. We then custom fabricated White oak splayed legs for the two large dressers that mirrored the original legs on the nightstand.

Two coats of primer and six coats of sprayed on Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series followed, capped off by reattaching the hardware which we sanded and painted brushed gold.
