TODAY IS HARVEST FEST!

The gardens are overflowing with Fall and we’re ready to celebrate with you, rain or shine!

Join us today from 12–4 for our Fourth Annual Harvest Fest at The Margaret Cleveland.

Come wander the gardens and pick out your mums, pumpkins, gourds, peppers and all the beautiful things that make the transition into Fall feel complete. It’s the perfect day to bring a little autumn home with you.

And bring the kids! We’ll have pumpkin decorating, pressed flower crafts and plenty of family games and activities throughout the afternoon, lots for little hands to make, play and explore while you enjoy the gardens and shoppes.

I’ll also be teaching three Fall demonstrations throughout the day:

1PM — THE ART OF FALL CONTAINER PLANTING
Learn how to layer seasonal plants, textures and colors to create the perfect Fall containers.

2PM — FALL WREATH & BOW MAKING
Tips and techniques for creating a beautiful seasonal wreath and finishing it with the perfect bow.

3PM — FALL FOREVER FLORALS
Create beautiful Fall arrangements using dried and everlasting botanicals to carry you through the season.

Come for one or stay for all three and take home a little inspiration for celebrating the season at home.

And, of course, enjoy seasonal treats and freshly made Apple C***r Donuts from Heart in Hand Bread while you’re here.

As we make room for ALL THINGS FALL, enjoy 30% OFF all plants at The Margaret Cleveland, including perennials, shrubs, trees and tropicals.

Art doesn’t have to hang on a wall.

Our highly anticipated annual shipment from Trovelore has just arrived, and it is every bit as extraordinary as we hoped.

Each piece is meticulously hand embroidered by master artisans using thousands of beads, sequins, and delicate threadwork. Every fruit and vegetable is crafted over the course of months, resulting in a true work of art that celebrates the beauty of nature.

They are collectible textile sculptures designed to be displayed throughout your home. Style them on a coffee table, bookshelf, kitchen island, under a cloche, in a cabinet of curiosities, or anywhere you want to add an unexpected touch of artistry and wonder.

Along with these remarkable fruits and vegetables, we’ve also received a beautiful new collection of Trovelore necklaces and other wearable works of art, which we’ll be sharing over the coming days.

As always, quantities are extremely limited, and once this year’s collection is gone, it won’t be replenished until next year.

There has always been something about European gardens that has completely captured my heart.

The romance of climbing roses reaching toward old stone walls, flowers spilling softly over pathways, layers of texture and height that feel collected over time rather than perfectly planned. It’s a style of gardening that inspired iconic places like Longwood Gardens and continues to inspire so much of what we are creating here within our Acre of Wonder.

This beautiful climbing rose was planted just last year, and already she’s beginning to do exactly what I dreamed she would… soften the shoppe, climb into the architecture, and create that feeling of an old garden that has lovingly evolved over time. Perfectly Perfect in all the right ways.

Watching her begin to spill over and settle into her place has been such a joy.

We still have a small collection of our instant-impact 8’+ tall staked climbing roses available at the shoppe, perfect for arbors, trellises, fences, and training along walls to bring height, romance, and that layered cottage garden feeling into your own space.

The beauty of gardening is that you’re never simply planting for today.

Four years ago, we opened the gates to what would become an ever-evolving Acre of Wonder at Walther Gardens.

What began as a dream inspired by my mother, grandmother Margaret and great-grandmother Peggy has grown into something so much greater than we could have imagined, a place filled with gardens, beauty, creativity and meaningful moments shared with all of you.

As we celebrate our 3rd anniversary and Mother’s Day weekend, the gardens are coming fully to life once again with fresh arrivals of cottage garden perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables, flowering plants and new collected treasures throughout our 12 artistically curated shoppes.

We are also excited to share that on Sunday we have partnered with Artifact Coffee to offer a limited quantity of beautifully prepared garden lunch boxes featuring their incredible egg salad and chicken salad, served with chips, a pickle and a cookie, Perfectly Perfect for enjoying throughout the gardens with the mothers, grandmothers and special women in your life.

Lunch boxes are limited and available while quantities last.

Thank you for supporting this dream over the past three years. Thank you for walking the gardens, shopping the shoppes, attending events and helping bring this vision to life. We are so excited for everything still to come.

Some plants simply stop you in your tracks… and this Weeping Japanese Snowbell is one of them.

Its graceful cascading habit, delicate bell-shaped blooms and soft sweet fragrance make it feel as though it has always belonged in the cottage garden. Especially magical in the evening breeze and after a spring rain.

This week’s Margie’s Garden Pick is one of our favorite specimen trees for adding romance, softness and layered beauty to the landscape. Perfectly Perfect near stone walls, pathways, hydrangeas and Japanese maples.

At The Margaret Cleveland, Margie’s Garden Picks are plants we personally believe bring emotion, beauty and timelessness into the garden. Collected pieces that make a space feel truly special.

And this weekend feels even more special as we celebrate our 4th Anniversary at Walther Gardens. Three years of restoring, planting, creating and sharing this Acre of Wonder with all of you. Three years ago, we took a leap of faith on a property with endless potential and began creating what has now become an Acre of Wonder at The Margaret Cleveland at Walther Gardens. What started with a vision, a love for gardening, and the inspiration of the women who shaped our lives has grown into a place filled with gardens, gathering spaces, curated shoppes, and so many beautiful memories shared with all of you.

This weekend, we celebrate 3 years at our Walther Gardens home and we could not be more grateful for the community that has supported us every step of the way.

And just in time for Mother’s Day weekend… it’s finally safe to plant. The gardens are calling and the shoppe is overflowing with cottage garden favorites, flowering shrubs, herbs, veggies, annuals, hanging baskets, and so much more. Whether you’re refreshing your porch pots, planting your dream cottage garden, or simply looking for inspiration, this is one of the most beautiful weekends of the season to visit.

We’re also excited to share a special collaboration with Artifact Coffee featuring a limited quantity of beautifully prepared lunchboxes for Sunday in the garden. Each includes their incredible egg salad or chicken salad, chips, a pickle, and a cookie — perfect for a relaxed afternoon celebrating the ladies in your life surrounded by the gardens.

Lunchboxes are limited and expected to go quickly, so we encourage arriving early.

Here’s to three years, to growing something meaningful together, and to a weekend filled with flowers, family, inspiration, and the beauty of spring. Perfectly Perfect.
