Everything feels a little stirred up lately. 😂

Plans. Work. Life. Ideas. What’s next.

And somehow, in the middle of all of that, I’m also literally stirring wax this week. 🕯️

But maybe that’s the point.

Sometimes things have to get stirred up before they start coming together.

I’ve been thinking a lot about creating experiences lately—giving people a reason to slow down, connect, try something new, and actually make something with their own hands.

So this week, I’m doing exactly that.

A little creativity, a little beach, a little candle-making… and hopefully a lot less chaos. 😂🕯️🌊

I thought making candles was just:

wax + fragrance + wick = candle 😂

It is NOT.

Here are 5 things that actually matter when you’re making candles:

1. Wick size matters.
The wrong wick can mean tunneling, drowning, or a flame that’s way too large.
2. Fragrance oil has a limit.
More fragrance ≠ automatically stronger candles.
3. Temperature matters.
When you add fragrance and when you pour can affect how your candle turns out.
4. Every vessel is different.
You can’t assume one wick or recipe will work perfectly in every jar.
5. You HAVE to test.
A candle can look beautiful and still burn terribly.

Making the candle is the easy part.
Learning how to make a candle that burns WELL? That’s the skill. 🕯️
