It's been a moment since I blogged but with the first (and only) 2020 wedding approaching it felt appropriate. Flora Boh is here for all of our Covid clients and together we will learn, grow, and surmount.

The untimeliness of the pandemic arriving just as our 2020 wedding season began was a wholly encompassing, mind-numbing experience. My favorite part of every wedding day is handing a bride her bouquet. Especially when we both start to cry because, after months of discussion and edits, there is that moment when we’re both looking at the flowers and realizing that what was once a dream is now a reality. Holding beautiful flowers in your hands can be surreal and euphoric. Kind of like the times we’re in right now. I am missing this connection with my clients today. Dreaming of their future bouquets though...that is a beautiful thing.

Hope springs eternal. Found an enormous downed limb from one of the Bradford Pear trees in our neighborhood. While this species of tree is classified as an icky invasive I couldn’t help but rescue a few branches to brighten the indoors. Happy first day of Spring!

The time to gather is not now. While this wants to be a post about the challenges we face as the unknown looms and how worrisome it is to be a small events based business as all events worldwide are canceled, it’s not. I’ve grieved and let go. The world is united in this misery so there is solace in that. May your cup overflow with peace in this strange time. Find me outside in the garden, waiting for Summer.
