Views from our bathroom…

We had bought the encaustic cement tile for our old office across town 10 years ago and never installed it. To save money, we used it and back-filled. Tile trends have changed a bit since then but we’re still keeping it (for now). We relied on our best pocket pros to help us!

I used to have a really hard time “leaving” the office and work behind. After losing a lot of myself to the grind of work, I returned to things that make me truly happy. Walking outdoors, our yard, good food, and most of all my family. Feel pretty re-charged after I get to do these things. Gosh, it’s pretty simple huh?

This little guy put up a fight! We had a small window that was not centered over the toilet, the wall for the sink was a bit too small and the existing plumbing had to stay where it was. We got creative, and pulled the wall out slightly so everything could fit, then chose a very graphic-heavy wallpaper to trick the eye away from the wall. Then we high-glossed the window trim and inside the window so it felt like it was part of the party. We grounded the space with a dark marble floor and ceiling. All about balance!
