We are loving what this Tuskegee University student and her mother designed for her college room. Soft pink stick on wallpaper creates the prettiest backdrop, white IKEA chest of drawers, Campus Canopies rounds out the aesthetic they were looking for! Beautiful job, 🤩👏🏻 💕

While our gray curtain panels do a great job of blocking out the bright California sunshine, this Chapman University student took things a step further by creating her own happiness with fabulously colorful bedding. We love it! Great job! 🧡🩵

Parents are driving all over the country with their cars full and with heavy hearts. Moving into college and living with a new roommate that you have never met before is really hard. Today I want to honor the hard-working parents that set up their son or daughter’s college room for success. Great job! 👏🏻❤️🥰

It is famous for its world-class computer animation program, which regularly wins student Academy Awards and places graduates at major studios like Pixar and Disney. How great would it be if when you order your Campus Canopies it is shipped to college & assembled in advance of your arrival. This was the case at an Institution during COVID. This unusually large triple was the most beautiful dorm I have ever seen with new flooring, freshly painted walls with new windows that offer plenty of natural sunlight.

This is me driving from Minnesota to Missouri 40 years ago: “Here’s the car. Here’s the college. Figure it out. Good luck!” 🚗 were my parents attitude.

I hauled my belongings into the dorm, figured out the campus, and somehow survived without a parent managing every detail.

Today:
Parents are choosing the classes, coordinating the move-in, unpacking the room, solving every little problem, and today’s parents have separation anxiety.

Somewhere along the way, we went from “You’ve got this!” to “Let me handle that for you.” I am also guilty for over doing for my children.

Maybe the biggest gift we can give our kids isn’t making everything easier—it’s letting them learn how to do things for themselves.
