GOOD MORNING, ETOWN FAMILY! ☀️
Can I be really real for a minute? Not every day is as perfect as social media makes it.
Yesterday definitely did NOT go according to plan. My feet hit the floor with a plan, I was at work and hour and a half early and our entire day got away from us! We were missing things we needed, there were a few unexpected curveballs, and before I knew it… the day was gone! 🤦♀️ Shout out to Steven and Gyl for running around to different towns to grab things we needed to meet our deadline! Mission accomplished!
So today, we’re regrouping, catching up, continuing those customer orders, working on our T-shirts, and knocking out everything that got pushed to the side yesterday. 💪🏼
But tonight is something pretty special…
🎤 I have the honor of being part of the 2026 State of the Region Business Expo & Panel tonight at USC Salkehatchie in Allendale.
I’ll be joining an incredible group of business owners, community leaders, and regional voices for a conversation about “What Does It Take to Do Business Here?”
And honestly… this one means a LOT to me.
Etown Custom Designs started as a dream working in my husband’s shop after a house fire. Today, we have a building, a shop, an amazing team, wonderful customers, and opportunities I could have only dreamed about when I started.
I’ve experienced the excitement of growing a business, but I’ve also experienced the challenges—the very long days, the unexpected problems, finding the right employees, investing, figuring things out as you go, and sometimes wondering how you’re going to get it ALL done.
So getting the opportunity to sit on this panel and share a little bit of our story—and talk about what our communities need to help small businesses grow—is something I’m truly honored to be a part of. ❤️
Our region has so much potential, and I’m excited to be part of the conversation about owning a small business.
So… today we WORK. 💪🏼
Tonight we TALK. 🎤
And tomorrow… we keep building. ❤️
If you’re attending tonight, come say hello! I’d love to see you there!

Big things are happening in our region—and I’m incredibly grateful that Etown gets to be a small part of it. 🇺🇸❤️
