Fab friends, here is Fabricate's schedule for the next 5 weeks. Two items of note:
Fabricate will be CLOSED on Labor Day, Sept 7.
Fabricate will be CLOSED for a family event from Friday, Sept 11 through Monday, Sept 14. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, Sept 15 at 10 am.
Thank you, everyone, for your support and friendship during these hectic days of summer-fall! We are so grateful for your patronage.

Just enjoyed a visit with new Fab friend Krystyn, owner of Buttermilk Creek Quilts in Florenceville-Bristol, NB! We talked "shop" and really enjoyed learning about each other's businesses. :) If you're in the Maritimes, be sure to visit Krystyn's colorful haven of textile goodness! 🧵And, if you're looking for a regional Shop Hop adventure that includes Buttermilk Creek Quilts, you might consider the NB/NS Shop Hop..scheduled for September 25, 26 & 27, 2026!

Our Fab friend Margaret Parks came by to share this beautiful labor of love (and family history!) She's assembled a quilt top of handmade doilies, hand-stitched embroideries, pillowcase decorations, and hankies--all crafted by her grandmother, mother, aunt, and herself. In between the heirlooms, she patched in vintage feedsack fabrics saved by her family over many years. It's an incredible, multigenerational, matrilineal work, and we're so grateful to have seen in it person.

Fab friends, here's an inspiring post and magnificent quilt from Victoria Findlay Wolfe.

Following up on yesterday’s post about Perfectionism. This is my quilt “I AM NOT PERFECT AND THAT IS OK”
All the comments are fabulous. Everyone has their own degree of what is perfect.
Done is perfect.
Close enough is perfect.
Mastering a technique to the best of your ability is perfect.
Striving for perfect is perfect.
Or even if nothing matches …that’s perfect.
Perfect is whatever is good enough for YOU…
And that is OK!
The point is & was… and always will be… create with JOY. 😊
Thanks for all your beautiful comments on the subject. I know sometimes we get caught up on old language in our heads about doing it right, don’t waste, making mistakes etc… just remember. That upside down block isn’t going to hurt anyone. It just made your quilt more interesting. 👍🏻 quilts in the future will talk for hours about your lovely addition. 😊
You can make more.
And you don’t learn anything if you don’t make mistakes!

Our Fab friend Joel stopped by to get some sweet solid cottons, so that he could craft his own design: a 3D, freestanding balsam pillow commemorating Pink Floyd's iconic Dark Side of the Moon cover! 😍 Rock on!
