Alexa and Lucas Klein have always dreamed of growing their family. They recently learned that, because of a genetic condition, IVF is their only path to making that dream a reality. And as anyone who has been down this road knows, the financial cost can be a lot to take on.

We're making holiday porch pots, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Alexa and Lucas to help with their IVF journey.

Think fresh pines, pops of red, pinecones, and magical vibes. Each pot will be handcrafted by us and will be similar to the photos, with a mix of greenery and accents.

Please note… no two will be exactly alike because they’re made with love, not AI.

Here are the deets:
$60 per porch pot
2 or more: $55 each

Porch Pot Size & Details: Arrangements come in a black pot (approx. 10" wide × 8" tall). Finished porch pots usually range from 18–20 inches wide and 25–35 inches tall, including the pot. Size may vary.

Pickup Locations: Somerset, WI + Red Wing, MN
Pickup Dates: Mid-November through early December

Apparently I took the pictures from last week's Fairy Garden Teacup Workshop at La Vie Est Belle and immediately tucked them away in a tiny fairy mailbox... because I'm just now sharing them. 😊

But honestly? These were too cute not to post.

A room full of adults slowing down for a few hours, getting creative, laughing, and building tiny magical worlds inside teacups. No deadlines. No emails. No one asking what's for dinner.

Thank you to everyone who spent your Thursday night with us. Your gardens turned out absolutely amazing, and I hope they make you smile every time you walk past them.

How cool is this?!

A few weeks ago, this young creator joined our Teacup Fairy Garden Workshops at Riverbend Floral Studio.

And yesterday, he entered his fairy garden in the Fairy Garden Contest at Fairy Fest in Red Wing...

And he took home a ribbon. 🥳

What I love most isn't even the ribbon, although that's pretty awesome!!!

It's watching someone start with teacup, a handful of supplies, and an idea... then leave with something completely their own.

That's the magic of creativity.

This is the kind of thing that makes my heart ridiculously happy.

No artistic experience required.

Just imagination, a little confidence, and the willingness to try.

Congratulations, buddy! I am so proud of you and your award-winning fairy garden.

May recap… wow. Just wow. 🥹

In May, we hosted 5 workshops:
• 3 Mosaic Candle Holder Classes
• 2 Fairy Garden Teacup Workshops

And every single one felt special in its own way.

We watched mother-daughter duos, best friends, coworkers, and total strangers sit down at the same table and leave feeling connected.

We heard conversations about concerts, family stories, gardening, creativity, life stress, and even someone sharing they saw Elvis in concert.

⚠️ Warning: These workshops may cause excessive smiling, complete loss of track of time, unexpected creativity, and people leaving saying:

“I didn’t realize how much I needed this.”
“The best hours of my day.”
“You don’t even realize how fast the time goes.”

Another guest shared:
“I’m not crafty at all… and I still loved it.”

And honestly? THAT is exactly why I started Midwest Collective.

Not to create “perfect” art.
But to create spaces where people can unplug for a little while.
Laugh a little louder.
Try something new.
Meet people.
Create something with their hands.
And leave feeling lighter than when they walked in.

From tiny fairy gardens with whimsical little mushrooms and moss…
to mosaic candle holders glowing on kitchen counters across WI and MN now…

May was FULL of creativity, connection, and so many moments I wish I could bottle up forever.

To every single person who signed up, shared a post, brought a friend, commented, encouraged me, or trusted me enough to come to a class…

I’m not sure there’s anything more magical than hearing kids completely lose track of time while creating.

Today’s Fairy Garden Workshop at Riverbend Floral Studio was full of tiny mushrooms, curled-hat gnomes, bead flowers, fairy signs, SO many giggles… and the sweetest little reminders that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect to be magical.

When the kids were asked what they’d tell another kid about the workshop, one said:

“You have so much fun you don’t realize 2 hours passed.” 🥹

Another shared:
“Take your time because it looks really hard but it’s not when you take it one step at a time.”

And honestly… I feel like we (adults) need that reminder too sometimes.

Today was imagination, creativity, shrinky dinks shrinking (which apparently was a major highlight 😂), and tiny fairy worlds coming to life one little detail at a time.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their day creating with us. These workshops are never just about crafts. They’re about connection, slowing down, and making room for a little magic again. ✨

Now excuse me while I obsess over every single tiny teacup creation because WOW these kids are creative.
