I know it’s 1am but I’ve been laying here tonight just thinking about how heavy life can feel sometimes.
There’s so much hurt in the world that we don’t always see. People carry things quietly every single day. A loss, stress, sickness, loneliness, exhaustion… and most of the time, we’d never even know.
But I also know this, the smallest acts of kindness can mean everything to someone. Even in the midst of their chaos I would love to show them our God is good all the time.
So I want to start something small & something that will not only bring a little light to our town but will bring some joy to me for getting to do it.
Every so often, I’m going to put together a few small flower arrangements and deliver them around Batesville, completely free. No catch, no payment, no expectations. I will choose what goes on the note according to what is given on the form. It’s just a simple way to remind someone that they are seen, thought of, and cared about. Also men need kindness too, but I know flowers aren’t it so I will deliver yummy cookies if need be.
If you know someone who could use that kind of moment, or if you could use it yourself, I’ll have a form you can fill out. You can stay anonymous if you want, or share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
Just a couple things to know
It does have to be within Batesville, Newark, Southside city limits
I’ll choose a few submissions at random each time
Times are not guaranteed for deliveries, but I will make sure they are delivered within reasonable work hours
Deliveries will happen on days I choose when I’m able & not slammed with photography or orders.
This isn’t meant to be anything big or perfect. Just something small and real.
The world is full of heartache & it’s just so hard sometimes. I have felt quite a bit of that this year, & I really wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. If it makes even one person feel a little less alone, then it’s worth it to me.
