This weekend my father finished pruning peaches and it looks like we might have our first crop! Hopefully the low temps this week don’t affect us to much. The Apples are also in full bloom and are currently being worked by the bees. We spent the rest of the day laying out irrigation lines to help the trees along. Hoping for more consistent rains the next couple weeks.

Been a minute since we last gave an update. Winter projects and a new baby have kept us busy, but we are excited to finally break ground on new plantings! Posts are in and we will be spending some time training trees while we take a break from pruning due to these low temps. New varieties include Arkansas black, Granny Smith, crimson crisp and Ruby Mac.

Bees are looking great and the queens are laying nice brood patterns. So expect some honey this spring.

We are also excited to announce that we will be at the Northampton farmers market this year! We will still have normal market hours on the weekends once peaches come in.

The past week we were able to complete a quick project as we work to buy more time to eventually renovate/save the barn. Along with roofing, garlic has been planted and beds have been prepped for four more varieties of apples!

This spring we will be planting ruby mac, Granny Smith, Arkansas black and crimson crisp.

We’re still picking apples! Hopefully will be done with goldrush in the next day or two.

Since it’s getting dark much earlier now we had to close the stand to shift focus on garlic planting and some orchard work. We want to thank all those that came out to support our first year.

For the pie makers we have pink lady and gold rush apples. You can dm Deichman farms or any Deichman to order and set a pickup time.
