What a wonderful evening! 🧶

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Thursday for Linda Perry’s fascinating talk on the history, traditions, and craft of the British gansey. We had a full house—every chair was taken!

And a huge thank-you to Linda for sharing her creativity, research, and deep knowledge of knitting and textile history with us. We loved learning more about these distinctive coastal sweaters and the stories woven into them.

Missed the talk? There’s still time to see Linda’s beautiful gansey exhibit at Halcyon Yarn through August 15. Each sweater is uniquely designed and hand knit by Linda, in a variety of colors and sizes—and they’re all available for purchase. The exhibit also includes a historical display.
