Meet Emrie Lott, a student at Mercer University’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business! Emrie is majoring in Accounting and is set to graduate in May 2028.
Emrie chose Accounting after taking Financial and Managerial Accounting, where she realized how much she genuinely enjoyed the field and could see herself pursuing it as a career. Her accounting classes have made a meaningful impact on her and helped her discover what she wants to do in the future.
One of Emrie’s favorite parts of being a Mercer Business student has been the relationships she has built with classmates and professors. Along the way, she has met some of her closest friends, and her professors have been a great source of advice, support, and connection.
Through classes like Professional Development and other business courses, Emrie has learned how to interview, network, and feel more confident about entering the workforce after graduation.
Her advice to future students is simple: take advantage of every opportunity and never be afraid to ask for help!
