Although we're now retired, we still have the love for flowers and plants. We had this greenhouse custom built for us and are thrilled how it turned out.

Well now, we have been officially retired for 4 months and things have been going pretty well.
Both Renee and I decided we wanted to keep our minds active so we don't get stagnant so we signed up for the online course: Foundations of Gardening through Michigan State University. It is a 10 week online course which is the first step toward earning a Master Gardener Certification. I thought I knew quite a bit of stuff, but in reality there is a lot more to learn. We are coming into the final week of class and then final exams. You have to score 80% for a passing grade and then you can move into the next steps towards certification. We have never studied this hard in a long time and it is quite challenging. Wish us luck. We'll keep you updated.

We are selling our delivery truck. It is a 2010 cargo van, so no seats other than driver and passenger. We have had very good luck with this van. It has almost 196,000 miles on it. It has the usual rust that a caravan gets after the years. It has a new battery just put in yesterday. It has only 2 issues that I am aware of. First, it has had an oil leak for the past 6 years. Had it checked out and Hampton Auto said it was hard to find where exactly the leak was coming from. They recommended just adding oil as needed, so that is what I have done. About a quart every 4 months. I have been using Amsoil in it. The most recent issue that just popped up is no heat. Not a thermostat issue, probably a automatic vent control that opens and closes the door for heat which is closed now. Other then that it's been very reliable. $1,000. Located at the flower shop 2730-22nd in Bay City, parked outside by garage door. If interested, message me back and we can meet and you can take a look at it.

It took longer than I thought it would but we're almost good to go. We haven't had to work this hard in a long time. 42 years of memories . Most small business start ups never make it beyond 5 years. We were blessed to have been able to make a career out of it.
We've said it before but it bears repeating. We are so grateful for all our customers over the years that have supported us, whether by purchasing a single flower or a big bouquet of flowers . It all adds up. Thank you all! God bless all of you as He has blessed us.
