Good morning and Sunday blessings. May you experience God’s grace in your life today.

In the Texas countryside you will sometimes find a well-kept little church standing almost alone, with no real town left around it. ⛪ Clear Grove is that kind of place, a rural community where the church has outlived the settlement it once served, still gathering the faithful long after the stores and houses disappeared.

For many early Texas communities, the church was the heart of everything, the place where families came together each week and where the milestones of birth, marriage, and death were marked. 🙏 Even as the surrounding community thinned out over the generations, congregations often held on to their country church with fierce devotion, driving in from miles around to keep its doors open. The building becomes a living link to the ancestors who built it.

There is something quietly powerful about a country church that refuses to fade, a testament to faith, memory, and belonging that outlasts the town itself. 🌳 These little sanctuaries carry the whole story of a community in their pews and their churchyard. It is moving to think of the generations who have gathered under the same roof. Is there a country church that holds special meaning for your family?

The 63rd anniversary of the assassination of JFK is fast approaching, and this set, assembled to commemorate the disastrous event, would be a spectacular addition to any collector’s treasure trove. It comes with the original mailing carton and everything pictured here. I believe the LP of his speeches was recorded in San Antonio, planned to be delivered in Fort Worth the night of his assassination. What a piece of history!
