Bones & Jars Pride Plans ! We will be closed the last weekend of June (2026) to be a vendor at two local Pride events, we hope to see you there!!

Saturday, June 27th - Beaver Dam Area Pride - Spring Street, Beaver Dam, WI
Wesley of Bones In Jars will offer free face paint from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. The booth will also offer a section of Bones In Jars specialty Pride Items as well as usual work of Wesley's and Zoey's (Cowhead's Monstertorium ) usually found in-store!

Sunday, June 28th - Fon Du Lac Pride Picnic - Prairie Theater And Event Center, Fon Du Lac, WI
Wesley and Zoey will both have booths from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the FDL Pride Picnic! Very excited to be inside this year, as it will allow Bones In Jars to offer a wider variety of items!

Spooky Spotlight Time! This week… DJ P0N-3 !

A few weeks ago j was trying to get back into painting and was struggling to pick a subject, but ultimately I settled on a childhood favorite of mine: DJ P0N-3 ! Spelling varies based on what you believe, but that’s her name to me 🖤🎵

Made with acrylic paints & acrylic markers, I love how this piece came out !

June 2026’s Monster of The Month is… The Unicorn!!

It is, as one may imagine, quite difficult to track down the exact history of The Unicorn. One of the oldest known recordings of a one-horned horse can be traced back to soapstone carvings from the Indus Valley Civilization around 2000 BC although these may have actually been depictions of bulls or antelope.

The inspiration for this Unicorn design, and likely the ones you are most familiar with, come from medieval representations. Many European travelers (more often invaders, let’s be serious) would claim to have seen Unicorns in India or across Africa. They were also tied to Christianity via The Physiologus, which depicted a story of a Unicorn being paralleled to a maiden believed to be the Virgin Mary.

Unicorns have shown up any and everywhere for centuries, butI could also never deny that this design is also born of a long time love of My Little Pony. Happy Pride Month.

The Unicorn is currently available as earrings, tote bags, and a limited one-off jean jacket (size: L, runs small)

Monsters Of The Month are a unique screenprinted design featured for one month in-store and online.

The Unicorn will be featured until June 30th!

Spooky Spotlight Time! This week… Teeny Tiny Coffin Curio!

I was watching a personal favorite fellow artist & crafter, Rattus Rattus, and was quite inspired by their new video on miniatures! I love putting things like this together and it’s been a very long time since I have.

The coffin itself is something I’ve had sitting & waiting for a project so I’m glad I finally found the right one! Funny enough, it’s old packaging from faux fangs!

Bones In Jars is opening late today ! Minimally waiting until 1:00 PM since there was a tornado warning in Madison with conditions headed towards Beaver Dam. Stay somewhere safe and comfortable if you can! We will post again if we will be opening any later than 1:00 PM
