This is a sneak peek of Paul Revere's coat. I did my research and historians agree that his great coat would have been a dark (navy) blue. I did alter the design a bit in case it will be worn another time by a larger person; keeping it a costume design and not a reenactment design. This decision was made by considering it will be worn in late June and not on a chilly mid-April night. I've yet to add the duster cape and buttons.

After I finish other garments for this costume I will post pictures leading up to the final reveal. Sew... Stay tuned!

I'm currently working on a full Paul Revere costume. I'll share pictures later today of the coat. Repairs have been done to a rooster costume and ready for Joy and Smiles Gifts to pick up. I have a rush order bridesmaid gown to be hemmed next. There are two cocoon chairs to make; fabric needs cut and pillows need stuffed before they can be made. Samuel Brunson is here making pillow inserts and his little brother Asher will assist on the stuffing of said inserts. There are orders for sun hats too! Can't forget the dress that needs pockets added or the four bridal gowns which need alterations and additions.

Yep... Life is sew good!

I had a prom emergency call a few minutes ago! Two hours before prom I found myself doing a quick stitch job on a gown that was gaping at the bust. Granted it is a temporary fix and I hope it holds up. I used 40 TEX thread, which is a heavier strength. Cross your fingers for her!
