my mission is to bring old furniture back to life creating one of a kind functional pieces of art. The pieces on this page have either been made or painted by me or are ideas borrowed from others. First time trying this. Well after I screwed it up the first try and started over. TONS of sanding. Scraping. Non stop scolding myself, walking away wanting to give up but that's not in my DNA so swearing at myself it was. I FINALLY got it right. Wasted an amazing decoupage paper but that's ok. Love how this turned out!!! She's listed on marketplace if you're interested. This huge mirror is heavy at 42" tall x 30 1/2"wide.born August 3rd 1950, stamped on the back of the mirror that is.

Started on this lane cedar chest. Added scenery to both sides of the decoupage. Using an old halter for handles and an old horse shoe that may or may not be used. The hardware on the front is gone and will never return lol I usually keep all old hardware in case I want to use it on another piece. Nope, not these. Ugly can go in the trash.

Before and after with this solid ash tallboy. What a job it was to scrape all of the wax then use lacquer remover and then sand by hand. Refinished should have been a week tops but that definitely didn't happen. I'm very happy this turned out better than expected. 🙂
