Happy Spring! Uncover the yard furniture, put up the swings, the to-do list is ready, call for a burner clean out, AC service, gutter check. Owning a home is a never-ending battle against the elements. Are you thinking of buying an EV, check with us on the need for a special charging outlet. A good time for an update as well.

December, and the decorating season has begun! Be safe, check extension cords, light cords etc. for wear and tear. Outdoor connections should be dry and connected to the proper grounded outlets. Indoors, fresh trees should be checked for water levels often. Most trees have been cut since July and will suck up water gratefully. Don't overload wall outlets. Blow out the scented candles when you are not in the house and keep them above the pet and child line. Keep the Advent wreath and Hannukah candles in a safe location. Open candles can cause house fires this time of year. AND the smoke detectors should be in great shape please.
Baudanza Electric and crew want to extend our warmest wishes for the Holiday season! We hope it is electric.

Wow! it's officially fall in New England! It certainly sneaked up on us. As it gets dark earlier, it is a good time to clear walkways outside and inside. Put nightlights in place and reset timers to earlier hours. It is never a good idea to walk into a dark house; motion lights are great and automatic. A good time to check sump pumps, have a furnace tune-up and make sure vents are free and clear of summer weeds. Examine trees for overhanging branches, heavy snows can knock out power. Stop by the showroom just to say hello and check out what's new in Lighting. Wishing you and your families a safe and happy fall!

Mid Summer and the 2026 calendars are in the mail and Halloween is showing up in the store displays, where did the time go? This is the lull before autumn and the time to do a perimeter check. Are there suspicious trees to be trimmed? Do get a pro on the job especially if they are tall and near any wires. Did you get your gutters cleaned? Is this the year for your burner/furnace/AC to be serviced? oh yes, and the smoke detector batteries or is it time to replace? The fall leaves are beautiful, especially in New England, time for little rodents to find a way indoors, seal any openings before this happens, use natural preventatives if possible. Rodents do not like strong scents.
Next sit back and enjoy the rest of summer, although you may want to get the rakes ready and your snowblower in shape 🙂

It's mud and rain season in New England, ponding and flooding are with us; a good time to check the sump pump, clear gutters and drains and vents. If you have not done a check on your smoke/CO detectors, this is a reminder to do so, they have an expiration date.
The days are getting longer and although we turn lighting on later in the day, do you have optimum lighting in and around your home? Check out what's new in exterior lighting.
The crew here wishing you a wonderful spring.

We cannot emphasize enough that Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms save lives. Please make sure yours are up to date, they have an expiration date stamped on the unit. They are generally good for ten years, but we all know how fast ten years go by! Have a fire escape plan with your family, especially the little ones. Do you own a fire extinguisher? A great gift to yourself and your family.
Wishing all a healthy, happy 2025!

In keeping with safety checks, have you watered your Christmas tree today? This past summer wreaked havoc on pines and to last the season in your home they need a lot of water. Keep all trees away from a heat source. Tip: use warm or tepid water. Lights are my favorite part of this season, please use extension cords safely following manufacturer's recommendations. Outside, protect your connections and again be careful with those extension cords running all over the yard. Artificial trees follow the same rules. Hannukah, with its wonderful traditions and beautiful Menorahs, falls on the same week this year. Light those candles safely!
Consider using all LED lights as they do not burn as hot as the traditional lighting sets and good luck trying to find the one bulb that is out!
Baudanza Electric and its crew wish you the best that the Holidays bring, friends, family, laughter and love.

We are looking at Thanksgiving week, a time for family friends and food. A time to count our blessings AND the time to check those smoke detectors, clean the leaves away from all vents and drains, check your weatherstripping and generally get ready for the colder weather. Remember not to overload your circuits when using electrical appliances. LED candles are available now, but if you are lighting the real thing keep them away from pets and in their containers, especially as you use them for the table. Keep the little ones away from the kitchen
From our house to yours we wish you the best the Holiday can bring. Travel safely. Happy Thanksgiving

Mother Nature again shows us who is in charge! The south has undergone horrific losses. Here in NE we were lucky to escape this one, however we should always be prepared for the worst. In many cases we need to maintain our sump pumps, keep tree branches away from power lines. Keep a case of bottled water for back up and have emergency lighting ready to go. Easy to eat food in the cupboard a plus, because if you lose power chances are your favorite restaurant is down too!

Wow, have you been to the shop lately? Check out the lamps with built in night lights, so cool. Install a timer on a lamp so you never enter a dark house. If you have pets, leave a radio on at a low volume as well, they don't like a dark quiet house either.
New Lampshades are a great way to update old lamps, and this is a good time to check out cords that may be frayed or old, See Dominic for a quick, painless repair or estimate and while there ask him what magic he has got up his sleeve!
