Finished just in time for Christmas! A really fun project that I’d never done before - punched paper needlepoint from Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe on Etsy. Loved the variegated yarns, they gave a really unique effect.

Finished the by Just a gorgeous shawl, and a fast, fun knit! Used in colorway “Unplugged”, which is an amazingly soft, smooth yarn.

My sister is going to Ireland for vacation and requested a “sheepy” headband for her trip. This was a quick and easy one! Pattern is the Scarlett Headband by Sandy Mills of .age.knitting and knit with Berroco Vintage Worsted purchased and Svensk Ull 3 TR (Pure Swedish Wool) by .

Just finished this Fair Isle Headband for a class I’ll be teaching at on Oct 15 & 22! Yarn is Cascade 220 by in colorways Cream and Petunia Heather. A quick knit and great introduction to stranded colorwork!

Finished the crocheted “Taipei Jute Bag” by ! Pattern calls for Jute rope, but I used Fantasy Naturale in colorways Khaki and Tan Multi for more softness, and to make it more of an “everyday” bag instead of a market bag. My friend will be teaching this class at soon, so check it out!

In 1999 Jim was nominated for (and won!) a Fragrance Foundation Award (FIFI Awards) for creating “Stetson Country”. Today he’s on his way to NYC for the 2025 FIFI’s, where he’s nominated for a fragrance he made for Bath & Body Works. 26 years later, still super-talented, and he looks even more handsome (but not much older) in his tux! So proud of him!

Finished the Four Calling Birds Cowl by - such a pretty pattern! Used stash yarn that I lost the ball band for, so who knows, but it’s got some beautiful stellina for some sparkle!

Just finished the “Peeep-A-Boo” Cowl using Jade Sapphire Exotic Fibers yarn in the “Lychee” and “Licorice” colorways purchased . This yarn is so soft it’s unreal, and gives a nice halo when knit. Just knits & purls, so it was a long, but easy knit!

This was a fun one! And a little “nail-bitey” since the way to get this cool “bubble” effect is to actually repeatedly DROP stitches! The Mermaid Bubbles Hat by was knit in Mismi, a gorgeous pure baby alpaca. It was a quick, and very fun, knit.
