Sometimes inspiration comes from… yellow painter’s tape. 💛

My client loved the tape on their walls so much that they took it to Sherwin-Williams, had the color matched, and painstakingly painted stripes. I love that kind of creativity and commitment to making a home your own.

But once it was finished, something felt off. They knew what they wanted the room to feel like, but couldn’t quite figure out what was missing.

That’s where I came in. Through mockups, we explored how to bring their vision together while keeping the personality that inspired it in the first place.

The only thing that changed? The wall color.

Color isn’t just decoration—it changes how a room *feels*.

The lighter wall color feels airy, bright, and open. The darker color instantly creates more depth, warmth, and coziness. Neither is right or wrong—they simply tell a different story.

And here’s something most people overlook: **it’s not just the color that matters—it’s the undertone.** A beige with pink undertones will feel completely different than a beige with green or yellow undertones. The wrong undertone can make a room feel “off” even when the color itself looks beautiful on the paint chip.
