We rescue old gear and turn it into awesome chalk bags for climbers who like style with their climb.

Founded in May 2025, Miko Bags is a passion project born from a love for climbing and sustainable creativity, created by a dedicated climber with over a decade of experience who hails from Korea and now calls Maryland home. Each Miko Bag is meticulously handmade, crafted from upcycled clothing and accessories sourced from thrift stores and vintage shops. We transform donated materials into unique, eco-friendly chalk bags, blending functionality with one-of-a-kind style. At Miko Bags, we’re committed to reducing waste while fueling your climbing.

From chalkbag to stem bag 🚲🧗

This custom project started with two chalkbags and a simple question:

“Can you turn these into bike stem bags?”

So I took them apart, reworked the construction, and added webbing straps across the bags and anchor points on the bottom to keep them secure on the bike. I really enjoyed the entire process!

Custom work is always welcome at MikoBags. DM for inquiries 💚

Made this waist bag for my dad’s fishing adventures using an old waterproof jacket and a net from a firewood carrier. 🎣♻️

Stay tuned to see the process!

Made a glasses case for my one and only, best mother-in-law with special embroidered lettering.

Shout out to all the mothers — even though it’s after Mother’s Day. Happy Mother’s Day 🌸🩷

My friend asked for a custom chalk bag made from a special tie-dye shirt from in Red river gorge, KY — giving an old favorite a whole new life.

Had so much fun bringing this one to life through every step of the creation process! 💚✨

Made 4 bags out of this jacket—chalk bags, crossbody bags, and keychains! I still have more fabric, so here we go with more upcycling!
