Howdy friends of New Mexico Birdhouse Company. Today I am posting more of the final remaining pieces from Thomas Hogan's collection. They are numbered in the photo with pricing as well. Please send a message or comment to purchase. The first three were recently re-aquired from a shop that he had them on display at. They are probably some of the only remaining color birdhouses left. 🐦

Just a little update for friends and followers on this page. There is a beautiful alter in remembrance of Thomas designed by his very close friend and fellow artist, Kerry Maeder, on display at the South Broadway Cultural Center in Albuquerque that will run through November 19th. The center is open from 10-6pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Thomas' memorial is still being planned by the family. More details will be posted as soon as they are available.

There are still a small number of pieces available. Many have gone to collectors and those who have sent private messages. The remaining pieces will be posted this Saturday.

We hope everyone is doing well and staying happy and healthy. Looking foward to seeing many of you at the memorial.

It is with a very heavy heart that we pass on some very sad news from New Mexico Birdhouse Company. Thomas Hogan, the creator and artist, passsed away last month after fighting a private battle with cancer.

Anyone who knows Thomas, knows he always kept his cards close to the vest and chose not to share this information with many, so it may come as a shock. Thomas was a staple of the art community and one of everyone's FAVORITE fella's to sit around and tell long winded stories with. He had been hand crafting his birdhouses and folk art for nearly 30 years in New Mexico. He was a friend to everyone, and became like family to many of us. His memory will live on in the hearts of our community through our memories and his art.

He was immensely proud to be a part of the Rail Yards Market ABQ, New Mexico Artisan Market, Albuquerque Downtown Growers' Market and featured at premiere destinations like Detours at La Fonda in Santa Fe.

We know many of you have Thomas Hogan originals that have been in the family for years. Nothing made him happier then putting smiles on your faces with his craft. We would love to see any photos you have with him or his work to share with his family.

Thomas will always hold a VERY special place in so many of our hearts. His services will be held in October. Please send a message if you would like information on how to attend.

The family has a large handful of remaining pieces that will be available for sale. Those will be posted to the page over the next several weeks as we work through what is left.

As always thank you for the love and support that you have always shows on this page. Thomas may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

New Mexico Birdhouse Company is so proud to be certified. Thomas Hogan's art is hand crafted from salvaged wood from all over the great state of NM. Some pieces have hundreds of cuts, wood burns and carvings. Thank you for all the love and support over the last 20 years of creating in the desert Southwest. 🐦🤠💕

This vintage tile was acquired from the remodel of a historic church in NM. The tile sat in the ceiling of that location for decades and is guesstimated to be roughly 100 years old. Thomas was fortunate to have a friend on the job give him a heads up on this salvage before they were lost forever. Now it is blessed with its second life as an authentic piece of New Mexican art with a very rich history. 🙏
