Recent requests have resulted in publishing this pattern. I did include the original 5 (wubrg) and waste so there was a set of 6. Additional symbols are not available yet.

A new pattern is finally coming to my Ravelry page

I do not usually post in progress photos, especially when it's intended as a gift; however, considering what today is, I am making an exception.

The fire department is family and we are never ready when that phone call comes. The sirens can be prepared for, trained for... but not that phone call. The intended recipient had their last call before I could finish. I do plan on finishing it in memorium.

Labor Day feels like a good day to make an announcement.. or two.

1) Preschool Animals will continue for Year 6
and 🥁🥁🥁
2) Brave Buddies will be beginning soon.
Brave Buddies are smaller stuffed animals that will be donated to MTS for their pediatric patients. Each one will be stored in a ziploc bag and have a note of encouragement.

Both projects are made at no cost to the recipients. I look forward to seeing what this year's group of animals include. Yes, the preschoolers have once again picked a couple I haven't made before. 🥰

Traditions are special. They live on through the ones we share with. One of our traveling chefs is expecting a grandbaby, and this will be the first to not receive a handmade pair of booties from a treasured family member. Over the weekend, without him knowing, I made a pair. Delivered it today before he traveled back home. We needed tissues.
