Salone d Mobili is right around the corner! Be sure to check out this:👇🏻

Salone Raritas is one of the most exciting debuts at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 (April 21–26 at Fiera Milano Rho). It’s a dedicated, curated section focused on collectible design, limited editions, unique one-offs, design antiques, and high-end creative craftsmanship—bridging the gap between rare, authorial pieces and the professional B2B market (architects, interior designers, developers, hospitality pros, etc.).
This isn’t just another gallery row; it’s positioned as a cultural project emphasizing identity, origins, visions, and objects as “acts of language in the present.” Rarity here is treated as a deliberate method for timeless, high-value design.
Key Details
• Dates & Location: April 21–26, 2026 | Pavilions 9–11 (some sources specify Hall/Pavilion 9 as primary, with extension to 9-11)
• Visitor Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (press/exhibitor earlier)
• Curator: Annalisa Rosso (Editorial Director and Cultural Events Advisor for Salone del Mobile.Milano)
• Exhibition Design: Formafantasma (Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin) — they’ve transformed the space into a sober, calibrated “architectural lantern” using light, transparency, and modular elements to let the objects shine without overwhelming them. It’s designed to feel museum-like yet accessible for professional buyers.
• Number of Exhibitors: Approximately 25 selected international galleries, antique dealers, excellence manufacturers, and limited-edition producers. The selection is intentionally restricted for quality and focus.
• Highlighted Exhibitors (from official announcements and previews; full list may be rolling out closer to the event):
• Nilufar (Milan-based powerhouse for collectible design; expect standout pieces like Andres Reisinger’s “12 Chairs For Meditations”)
• COLLECTIONAL (featuring works like Plot 6 by EWE or Niko Koronis)
• Salviati x Draga & Aurel
• Mouromtsev Design Editions
• Mercado Moderno
• Bianco67
• Brun Fine Art
• Others teased in waves: Galerie Mitterrand, Memo Brasil, ParadisoterrestreofficialThese represent diverse “chapters” — from contemporary limited editions to antiques and hybrid craft.
• Special Project: Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis is creating a standout installation condensing light, matter, and perception into a memorable, sensory gesture.
The overall vibe is selective, high-quality, and forward-thinking—perfect for sourcing statement pieces that add personality, storytelling, and investment value to luxury residential or hospitality projects. It’s less about mass production and more about pieces with cultural depth that align with 2026’s broader themes of material intelligence and thoughtful uniqueness.
(These visuals capture previews of the Formafantasma setup, Nilufar pieces like Reisinger’s chairs, and COLLECTIONAL works—great for mood-boarding rare, sculptural elements.
