Bacon Tongs are a new product we have been working on the last couple of days. Perfect for the camping trip, or the backyard cookout. Forged out a prototype yesterday, establishing the material length and size, plus the forging steps to create. The overall length is 14". Finished 30 short handle utensils last week, wide and narrow spatulas, forks, ladles and strainers. They all are about 14" long. We also have 22" longer handle utensils, not pictured. Finished an order for 5 Calla Lily and 15 Heart with twisted handle broom handles. These will be used by another craftsman to hand tie custom brooms. Finished a few projects this week. We sold out of horseshoe Christmas trees last year, so made 4 more, started forging an order for 15 twisted heart, broom handles for another craftsman, and finally some flag pole holders for our reenacting customers. Been a long cold winter and feels good to get back in the shop.

A new item from Auxier Creek Forge are these hand woven baskets made by me and then turned into Santa's, snowmen, or reindeer. As you can tell from the pictures, some of these light up and some do not. Approximate height is 11 inches by 3-1/2 inch base. The head is permanently attached to each base and will add to your holiday decor. Each basket is $30.00 and can be picked up at our store by calling 618-973-0278, at the Christmas in the Mall craft show at Times Square Mall on November 28 and 29, at Christmas in New Harmony, Indiana on December 6 and 7, or I will also have them available this Saturday, November 1 at the Candlelight Walk at the Jefferson County Historical Society from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. I will be located in the Blacksmith Shop.

I was asked to redo some chairs that were in need of seats. I just completed the first of 4. I really like the way it turned out! The first picture is how I received them.

Finished 8 candle holders thus week. They are 13" tall and 14" wide. All traditional joinery, no modern welds. Made for 3/4" candle. $44 each, we will have them at our fall shows, or in our store. Give Beth a call 618 973 0278 if interested. Thanks.
