✨ ✨ 2026 Crochet Pricing Update – Labor Guide ✨
I’m updating my crochet pricing for the new year to better reflect the time, skill, and care that goes into each handmade piece. My labor rate is now $15 per hour.
To keep pricing clear and flexible, labor and yarn are priced separately. This allows each client to choose the yarn type and budget that works best for them — from everyday fibers to luxury and wool blends.
🧶 Labor Pricing Guide (Yarn Not Included)
Baby & Infant Blankets (Capped Labor Pricing)
• Preemie Blanket – $60 labor
• Cradle Baby Blanket – $100 labor
• Receiving / Newborn Blanket – $120 labor
Baby blanket labor is intentionally capped to remain accessible for gifting.
Throws & Adult Blankets (Labor Based on Time)
• Lapghan – $300 labor (~20 hrs)
• Standard Afghan – $450 labor (~30 hrs)
• Oversized Afghan / Queen / Couch Blanket – $600+ labor (40+ hrs)
🧵 About Yarn Costs
Yarn is chosen by the client and priced separately. Yarn cost varies by brand and fiber and can range from approximately $5 per skein to $15+ per skein, depending on the material selected.
🕰️ Timing Note
Completion time is based on total hands-on labor, not how quickly a piece is finished. I typically crochet in 2–3 hour sessions per day to maintain stitch quality and hand comfort.
💳 Payment & Ordering Information
All blankets are custom made to order. I offer payment installments through Square for labor costs.
• Material cost must be paid first (or in full at time of sale) before work begins
• Remaining labor balance may be split into installments
• Final payment is due before delivery or pickup
