With their bright colors and artfully executed graphics, they call for our attention like carnival barkers. Want to give your fall home an old money look? Just add vintage china, glass, and metals and you'll be amazed at the transformation. Color is the key. Here are some tips to keep it from looking like you're afloat in a sea of orange.
1. Add green-not grass green or spring green--look for the color that was popular in the 60's and 70's that has more earthy brown tones. That glass is gaining popularity and is becoming more available.
2. Add brown--from deep chocolate to burlap tan with some honey tones thrown in and your arrangements will look more grounded.
3. Add metallics--copper and brass really come into their own with fall colors.
