It’s official. Abode is moving!
After much deliberation and factoring in everything. I’ve decided to merge Abode with Crafted.
This decision didn’t come easily. It’s so hard to say goodbye to this beautiful space. However, I realized staying was more about bringing Abode to life, and how it played a major role in my journey of grief. You see, creating, building, and manifesting things to life is my Happy Place.
One year later I’m exhausted trying to curate, manage, and buy for two stores. Plus, my online jewelry supply distribution company. Even with assistant managers it’s been a heavy load.
The lack of storage space, accessible parking for my customers, no central air, and many other factors helped my final decision.
What does this move mean to my customers? Accessible parking. More hands on customer service, added shopping days and hours. Most of all, one stop shopping in a redesigned multi-complex where you can dine and shop a huge assortment of gift items.
Honestly, I’m feeling different emotions; excited, sad, and anxious to get started with redesigning and building the Crafted Gift Shop & Beanery brand to one of Michigans destination stops.
Thanks for taking this journey with me. Yes, we will still have all thé beautiful items Abode is known for. However, it will be on a smaller scale.
