While I’m still working the store alone during the week, to avoid people missing out or the confusion of either closed signs or be right backs, I’m going to post daily updates with inventory and projected hours, at least for wed & Thurs !

Today will be a delay between 1-2p for open and cookies, cookie sandwiches, and ltd 10’s will be available :)

Hopefully I will get some time shortly to respond to messages as well for you guys!

FALL FESTIVAL CANCELED

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the Borough of Westville Fall Festival, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 26th with a rain date of Sunday, September 27th. Due to the inclement weekend weather, the Fall Festival for 2026 has been canceled. This was not an easy decision. We have been watching the forecast closely, and unfortunately, the expected strong winds, periods of heavy rain, and potential for flooding create conditions that are not safe or suitable for an outdoor community event. With vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, inflatable attractions, live music, and so many members of our community expected to attend, the safety of our residents, visitors, vendors, volunteers, and staff must come first. We know how much our community looks forward to events like this, and we understand the disappointment this news may bring. Our Fall Festival was planned with the hope of bringing our residents, families, local businesses, vendors, and friends together for a fun-filled day celebrating our wonderful community. We want to sincerely apologize to all of our vendors, food trucks, crafters, musicians, volunteers, sponsors, residents, and everyone who made plans to join us. So much time, effort, and excitement went into preparing for this event, and we are truly grateful for everyone who supported it. We would like to thank the Westville Celebrations Committee, Borough Staff, Police Department, Fire Department, Mayor and Council, vendors, local businesses and everyone else who helped bring this event to life. We know cancellations are never easy and we are incredibly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. While we may not be able to celebrate together this weekend, we hope everyone will remember that the spirit behind this event is what makes Westville so special; our community coming together, supporting one another, and creating memories together. This isn't goodbye to the Fall Festival; it's simply a pause. We look forward to making next year’s Fall Festival even more spectacular! Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of the Borough of Westville. Most importantly, thank you for being a part of our community.

You can expect to see an “What to Expect this Season “ type of post this week (yesterday suUuUuUcked not opening at all, trust me I feel the same as you guys)

I KNOW this summer was rough at the store, and besides for my physical health, my mental has also taken a huge hit.

As frequently as mental health is talked about these days, empathy towards those with it, including myself, still really isn’t.
But here is my I have been struggling and I am so very sorry to those I’ve hurt

We’ve had some electrical issues and I’ve been battling some larger autoimmune flare ups this summer but I want to thank everyone for their understanding recently and hopefully we’ll be back in full swing this week and ready to rock for back to school 🩷

To those of you that order custom cakes, have to wait at pick up, and still return to me…. Thank you, just.. thank you. I appreciate you more than you could understand. I make everything as fresh as possible, day of, and am still decorating when you walk in so that I can hand over the freshest, custom-created cookie cake possible. Sometimes temperature, humidity, color setting (because yes, I hand mix colors as well) can take longer than anticipated, temperament of ingredients change, or I need to alter part of the design. (Or ya know, I’m human, and a mom doing this on her own 🤪 )

It is sooo hard to explain that my affordability does not come from cheap, time-free cakes that are duplicatable. It is because we all deserve to afford a big, fresh, doodled on cookie that is genuinely made with love, laughter, learning, etc. Life is hard enough

I do this because I LOVE it, because I love the end result when I can do what I do best, when I see a trainee feel great about a new technique, when I see a stressed parent or partner relax their shoulders for just a second out of their day, when people work here and look happier leaving than coming in..

There is nothing you can spend here that doesn’t go back into the store, the employees, or community. I, from the bottom of my heart, just do this so people still have a reason to smile. (Listen, one day I’d still love for this to support me, trust me 😂)

There is nothing AI, copy and pasted, stream lined, etc about SJCC. We’re here because we want to be. And for those of you that still remember what supporting a small business means, thank you for keeping this place alive 🩷

I also do my best with making it easy to order - I personally just learn as I can on making my websites, forms, and back end operations because that is what is affordable to this place - I know it’s difficult sometimes, but I promise it’s all worth it. If anything, taste and freshness is a constant variable that will NEVER change 🫶🫶🫶
