Been busy with alot of projects..but have finally found some time to post a few pictures of whats been happening lately at One of a Kind Antiques.
Virtually every piece of furniture shown in these photos has been professionally refinished by myself.
The majority of the chairs in the photos have yet to hit the floor in the antique store but are available at our warehouse in Bellville.

Been so busy trying to keep up between the custom orders and refinishing..we restocked again today and I FINALLY videoed some of our "One of a Kind" items.
Stop on in. Besides our section, there is an additional 7500 square feet of unique Nothing Ordinary finds.

We've been busy obtaining some of the best quality and unique antiques available.
We also have aquired many pieces, in my opinion, not worthy of putting on the floor without first refinishing them to our customers liking.
Our custom made one of a kind cutting and chartcutie boards, as well as many other specialty wood items have flown off of the shelves. We kicked it into high gear and now have re-stocked. Just in time for the upcoming holidays.
Take the scenic country drive west on 529 to the largest antique store in the area...Nothing Ordinary Antiques and Oddities in historic small town Bellville.

There is always something new and unique hitting the floor at the largest antique shop in the area. Just off of the square in historic Bellville.
Just in...a vintage single seat park bench ..black wrought iron with teak slats...and an added bonus..the slats are finished off with 2 coats of spar varnish to assure that this one of a kind piece will hold its beauty for another 50 years.
A totally refinished solid oak draw leaf table from the 1900's...gorgeous grain to the wood accented with highly sought after barley twist legs.
A 1920s mission style occasional table in Golden oak. Original finish but spruced up so that it now looks a good as the day twas handcrafted 100 years ago.
So many more items arriving daily..plus a vast array of anything and virtually everything imaginable from the past eras.

Now that the cold is behind us and the springtime like weather has arrived.. people are venturing out..

Two more satisfied customers..
A customer saw the One of a Kind pieces at the antique store and requested a special piece for her husband's birthday.
She had no idea as to specifics of the piece except it needed to stand on a credenza in his office. Using a piece of Cypress stump that was pulled out of the Brazos river.. we came up with an idea.
She loved the end result..

A friend had his old .22 that he wanted to give to his grandson as a heirloom piece...
We took on the challenge and his grandson now has a rifle that he can cherish forever.

A customer had this bench on his deck at his ranch since the 80's. He and his wife would spend their mornings sitting on it watching their wildlife.
The bench was dangerously wobbly, the slats were virtually gone and the iron was badly rusted.
He was going to get rid of it.... Even though it was his wife's favorite bench.

We brought it back to life with a fresh powder coat and Hill Country mesquite with 3 coats of marine varnish.
Good to go for another 40 years.

Two more One of a Kind pieces to hit the antique shop floor soon..
A pair of chairs with a bit of Texas history..
These two chairs were once in the well house that supplied water to the fort at Fort Mckavett, Texas. The house was last occupied in 1943.. but still stands at the head of the spring that what is now on a privately owned Ranch.
These two oak chairs were broken in pieces on a mesquite wood pile ready to be burned.
We chose to leave them with their natural patina wood look.. but totally re-glued them and replaced a few broken pieces..
The seat backs and bottoms were once cane material.. but seeing how these were found on what is now a high fence game ranch.. we decided to do the seat backs and cushions with a naturalistic outdoors look.... T-Bonz naugahyde camouflage material.

A bit of Texas history.. perfect for a man cave or a hunters game room.
