It is very sad to me to watch another old train car leaving. Every morning I have come in to spend the day at my shop, I have looked at the train cars closest to my courtyard. I have noticed both good and bad things with the box car and the old caboose.. I was always intrigued by the turkey vultures who came for one week almost every year and spent hours on top of the box car. Today I saw the box car being loaded onto trucks. I know the cars had issues, but still sad to see.

Stop by and see us this weekend! We are open Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm AND we have some things on sale both days. We have also been pricing and adding things to the shop all week.
Friday June 26th is the day the Flyin’ A’s will return to play their great music at the shop. I always love having them here. We do have some seats still available. It seems impossible that I am nearing the end of my fifteenth year at Whistle Stop Antiques and getting ready to begin my sixteenth year!!! I still love coming in to the shop every day and I am hoping to continue for many more years. Thank you for being part of Whistle Stop.

Tomorrow is Monday on Main Street and we will have some sales at Whistle Stop tomorrow, some for just one day, others for the rest of the week.come and spend your Monday on Main Street in Belton with Whistle Stop Antiques and visit my neighbors in this block who are also open on Mondays.
Jade will be teaching a junk journal class at the shop on Thursday, June 18 at 6:00 PM. She will teach us how to create some of the embellishments for journals. The class is $10.00 if paid in advance or $15.00 if paid at the door. Please contact Sally 816-322-0200 for information and to reserve your seat. You are welcome to bring your journal with you.
The Flyin’ A’s are in concert at the shop Friday June 26th. They are a wonderful singer songwriter duo from Austin Texas. They have just released a new album so we will be among the first to hear all about it! I now have new retail neighbors on my block AND several of us are open on Mondays!! Come and spend the day on Main Street. You can park and easily walk to all four of us. Mondays on Main sounds like a great idea!
