Halloween shopping starts in September, so I'm putting this up now instead of in October with everyone else.

Ghosties & Goodies is fifty pages set inside a ghost-run bakery. Boo the ghost baker, a skeleton working the espresso machine, a shop cat and a mouse who keep turning up β€” the same characters across all fifty designs, so it reads a bit like a story you color your way through.

The back cover says "Nothing scary. Just snacks." That was the whole brief. Square format, single-sided, thick lines from front to back.

Paperback on Amazon, or an instant PDF from the shop. Link in bio.

Boo has been up since four. Rolled, proofed, baked, wiped down the counter twice.

Then the door opens and it's "hello, sweetheart" β€” to the cat.

He's fine. He's not upset. He's just saying.

He went out there with every intention of raking.

Then he sat down for a second. Then a leaf landed on him. Then it was an hour later and there was a muffin involved.

Anyone else lose an afternoon this way, or is it just him?

πŸ‘» Boo has been ready for this since roughly the second week of July.

The oven's on, the scarf came out of the box early, and there's a tray of something cooling on the counter that will not last the afternoon.

What's the first thing you make when it finally turns cold?πŸ₯Ά

Fifty-three vegetables behaving badly.

Big, silly, thick-lined and impossible to color wrong β€” the kind of page that survives a kitchen table and four markers.

One download, print it all school year.

Eight autumn pages that aren't in any of my books. Pumpkins, a hedgehog in the leaves, a basket of apples, sweater weather.

They're free. Drop your email and they land in your inbox β€” no catch, and you can unsubscribe with one click.

I make these because I'd rather you try the style than take my word for it.

Forty North American birds, each one with a fact printed beside it in type you can actually read.

Cardinals, blue jays, goldfinches, hummingbirds. Thick outlines, single-sided pages, and enough open space that a chisel-tip marker does the work for you.

It's turned out to be the one people buy for their mother, and then quietly buy a second copy for themselves.

Most adult coloring books are designed to look impressive on a shelf. Very few are designed to actually be colored.

That's the whole reason I started creating with thick lines. When the lines are bold and the shapes are open, you can fill a page with a few passes of a marker and it looks finished. No squinting. No hand cramp. No page you gave up on halfway.

Easy to color isn't the same as babyish. It took me a while to get people to believe that.
