Brian Malarkey, your creativity never ceases to amaze me.

I was recently asked if there was a specific moment when I knew I wanted to work with Brian, and it wasn’t so much a moment as it was a feeling that led to a realization: this guy has a vision. I can see it, and I want to be part of it.

Maybe it was selfish, but I was too curious to think too hard about it.

And I wasn’t wrong. I saw it happen at Hawkeye & Huckleberry Lounge, and I experienced it again with the four walls and giant hole in the floor that was THE MALARKEY before it became what it is today.
It takes a special mind to see it, believe in it, and find the people who can help make it real. Brian Huntington Malarkey, congratulations, and thank you for letting us be part of another one of your wild ideas.

And to James, Carlos, Lalo, Starkey, Sammy, Mary, my team, and every single team that put so much of themselves into making this project happen: thank you, and congratulations. I’m so proud of what we made together.

KNOWING YOUR STYLE isn’t just good for self-growth, it’s good for the planet too.

Case in point: when we worked with these clients back in 2021, they fell hard for this green bed. When they moved a few years later and we started talking about furnishing their new home, there was no question: the bed was coming with them.

And here she is, in all her glory.

When you know what you truly love, like, and don’t like, it becomes much easier to invest in pieces that can outlast trends, moves, and all the in-between chapters of life.

Not sure what your style is yet? Don’t sweat it. When you work with us, defining your style is a key part of the process.

Open floor plans can feel tricky to get right, but the solution is usually pretty simple: give each space a reason to exist.

In this home, the architecture already had so much going for it: beautiful form, tall ceilings, a strong material palette, and an easy flow from one space to the next. But those same qualities were also what made it feel vast.
Because the great room, dining area, and kitchen all connected so openly, they started to merge into one another. Add in hard surfaces, tall ceilings, and existing light fixtures, and the home had what we lovingly called a bit of a “medieval castle vibe.”

So rather than fighting the open floor plan, we worked with it. We created zones that allowed the spaces to feel separate, but still together. Someone could be eating at the dining table, someone else could be playing games by the window, and someone could be reading in the living room, all within the same larger room, but with each person having their own little pocket of space.

Has it really been a month since this project was featured on ? We’re still on a high from that, and honestly just from seeing this project come together.

Our clients fell in love with the architecture of the home, its easy flow, and the way it invited people in.

Inspired by the existing colors and textures of the home, we layered vibrant hues, tactile furnishings, light fixtures with organic, playful forms, and lush indoor plants. The vision was to create a home that felt welcoming and soulful, where the original material palette could shine with more softness, more intention, and more personality.
