I just finished a blanket with a top made entirely out of dance costumes!

This was definitely a challenge at times with the different materials and embellishments. I broke so many needles! But it was so worth it to see it come together.

Designing each square so more of the costume is used is probably the part I love most about blankets like this.

Labor-wise, it takes me much longer than a normal Tshirt blanket, for sure.

I hope you enjoy it from beginning to completion in photos!

This week I am spending time with family. As I was strolling around and looking at how everyone had settled into their cabins, what do I see on my nephew’s bed? The blanket I made for him when he graduated! So nicely placed on the bed and obviously cared for. This is what I hope for when I make every blanket! What a wonderful way to start our vacation!

About to start work on finishing up 9 blankets I have on the docket! It’s always a good idea to start off with a fresh machine, so I made sure to take apart my sewing machine and clean it up. Boy and howdy, did it need it! Always try and stay on top of these cleanings 🥸 or end up like meeee 🤢🥴

Thankfully, I have a wonderful set of paint brushes I can use to get in those nooks and crannies to chase away all of the dust bunnies! 🐰

I can already feel how much smoother my machine is now running!
