Just back from Malawi. ❤️
This was my third trip to Malawi with Watts of Love—but my first in four years.
We spent our time distributing solar lights and teaching financial literacy, but what makes the Watts of Love model so powerful is that the work doesn’t stop when a global travel team goes home.
Through our incredible local partners and trainers in Malawi, distributions and training happen year-round—even when we aren’t there.
So why do we go?
To encourage the trainers.
To see the progress.
To help fund the process.
And to remind our partners that they are not doing this work alone.
As the photographer on these trips, I’m rarely in the photos—which is perfectly fine with me. 😂
But this photo felt especially meaningful.
If you know me, you know that’s my bracelet—on my wrist as I hold hands with someone who has just received a light.
It’s a simple moment, but to me, it says so much.
The light. The connection. The people.
And the reminder that this work is about so much more than a solar light. It’s about walking alongside people as they build a brighter future. 💛
