My client gave me her wedding dress to make items to pass to her grandchildren for use at some time in the future. The dress was somewhat yellowed but I was able to remove it. I made three ring bearer pillows, two bouquet wraps, and a handkerchief for her to wipe her tears of joy when those occasions arrive.

The winter weather has put some client projects on hold, so I started one of my own (anything to keep from cleaning house). If you sew or quilt you know all about leftover scraps and probably dont have the heart to discard them. What to do?!?! This is a quick and easy way to get rid of some. A third of the blocks are done, but sad to say it won’t make a dent in the scraps I have tucked away.

I have a client whose family has a tradition of red felt stockings. I have had the opportunity to add to those as their family grows. Travis’ stocking is the latest. I was also asked to remake Laura’s by removing all the decorations and replacing them on a new stocking the size and shape to match the others. I enjoy handwork so they are always fun to do.
