Big things are in the works.

The shop has been busy lately as I get ready for two major events coming up. From milling lumber and building new products to restocking customer favorites, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes at Heritage Woodsmith.

How a piece of scrap walnut became a one-of-a-kind gift.

My son brought this board over and asked if we could make something special for his fiancée’s birthday. What started as a piece of lumber destined for the scrap pile became a handcrafted walnut lap desk, complete with a custom Highland cow engraving.

One afternoon in the shop.
One piece of forgotten wood.
One gift made with purpose.

These are the projects that remind me why I started Heritage Woodsmith in the first place.

Not everything valuable starts out perfect.

Sometimes it just needs someone willing to see what it can become.

🏡 Heritage Woodsmith Has a New Home in Berkeley Springs!

If you’ve been wanting to see Heritage Woodsmith products in person, you no longer have to wait for the next festival or vendor show.

We’re excited to announce that a selection of Heritage Woodsmith products are now available at The Workshop by Creek House Farms in downtown Berkeley Springs!

You’ll find our handcrafted cutting boards, charcuterie boards, wine & charcuterie boards, coasters, cutting board oil, and board wax available in-store.

What makes The Workshop special is that it’s more than just a store—it’s a place where local artisans, makers, and creators come together. From handcrafted goods and artwork to unique gifts and home décor, you’ll find products made by talented people from our region, all under one roof.

We’re honored to have Heritage Woodsmith displayed alongside so many incredible local artisans and small businesses.

Heritage Woodsmith is hitting the road again this weekend — and we’re bringing handcrafted boards, charcuterie pieces, wine accessories, CNC creations, and more.

📍 Saturday — Wine & Shine Fest
We’ll be set up at the beautiful Boydville Mansion in Martinsburg for an incredible day of wine, food, music, and local vendors.
