Today, we remember the brave men and women who gave everything for this country. Not just their service, but their futures, their families, their holidays, and the moments they never got to come home to.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It’s a reminder that freedom came at a cost carried by real people and grieving families.

We honor the fallen.
We remember the sacrifice.
And we hold close the responsibility to live with gratitude because of it.

Today, may we pause for the names, the stories, and the empty chairs left behind.

Fresh eggs are officially available at Legacy Acres! 🥚🌿

You can find the cooler at the corner of East Milan Rd and Masters Way. We have:

Large size dozen — $5
Small size half dozen — $3

Venmo and Cash App QR codes are posted on the cooler for easy payment. Cash is also welcome.

These are fresh, local eggs from our little flock here at Legacy Acres at Stearns Brook Farm - veteran & first responder owned, family-rooted, and raised with purpose.

Egg carton returns are always appreciated! ♻️

Some of the best childhood memories are not expensive or elaborate. They are tiny hands tossing scratch to chickens, dirt on little boots, and learning that animals deserve gentleness too.

This is the kind of life we are building at Legacy Acres at Stearns Brook Farm. Rooted in simple moments, fresh air, hard work, and the kind of memories that last long after childhood.

Happy Duckling Day! Our Runner Ducks have arrived! Hatched on 4/6 and a safe journey to home. All females, 2 black, 2 silver, 2 chocolate, 2 blue and 2 fawn. We can’t wait to watch them grow up!

🪶 New Hires at Legacy Acres… Not Exactly What We Expected 👀

Well… looks like our farm has officially been audited by upper management.

Meet the newest crew members at Legacy Acres at Stearns Brook Farm - our resident turkey vultures 🖤

Before anyone panics…
No, they are NOT here for the chickens.
No, they are NOT hunting anything.
And no… we did not put in an application for them 😂

These guys are actually nature’s cleanup crew - they only eat what’s already passed on and help keep the ecosystem healthy. Basically… they’re doing the jobs nobody else wants 💀

Today’s headcount: THREE supervisors posted up in the dead tree like they own the place.

Honestly? Respect.

We’ll be keeping an eye on them… but for now, they’re welcome to stay on payroll (unpaid, of course).

Milan & Dummer EMS is currently looking for EMS providers interested in working for a progressive rural service.

Following town meeting, we have adopted higher wages effective April 5, 2026.

We staff with an on call stipend of $60 for 8 hour shifts.

On the 911 side employees must live within a 10-15 minute radius of our station. Employees are paid a 2 hour minimum on top of the on call stipend when they come in for a call.

On the interfacility transfer side, employees must be within 60 minutes of the station. 2 Hour minimums are paid for all calls and a crew meal is covered for all out of town transfers.

Our hourly wages effective 4/5 are as follows:

EMR: $20 / hour
EMT: $23 / hour
AEMT: $26 / hour
Paramedic: $31 / hour

For those interested in these roles but not currently licensed, we will be holding an EMR class starting 5/13 in Berlin, NH.
