We love a draped porch! From the islands to the highlands and everywhere between! Heirloom wicker, a new bed swing, fluffy ferns and soothing tones of summertime make this a perfect spot throughout the day.

Outdoor fabrics have come a long way, and a favorite of mine is Scalamandré | Luxury Fabrics & Wallcoverings ‘s Elsie… ferns and fronds invite friends and family to sit and enjoy! Designed for a future pilot, this blue and white nursery was designed to grow with him. A custom bed nook became the coziest and dreamiest solution for a challenging shaped room with a slanted roofline. Gearing up for the Fourth of July this week… And celebrating red, white and blue in every hue! This week, I am sharing some of my favorite color combinations that take a fabulous traditional concept and gives it a fun twist!

Whether patriotic and primary or pastel and pretty, I love all things, red, white, and blue - but it is so fun to take coral cream and celadon… Salmon, pearl and lapis… make it yours! Running on a theme and adding a little sparkle and fun!!

Whether you’re at the beach or the lake, the mountains or “set put” at home, I hope y’all are celebrating each and every day! I hope everyone has a safe and delightful Fourth of July week! Cheers y’all! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Gorgeous shades of blue here in Auburn AL, drapery and pillow fabrication by us ✂️ Repost from James Farmer

Not much ruby on this white and blue Tuesday! Red, white and blue are such a classic trio, but sometimes singling out two out of the three makes a lasting impression! 💙🤍

Blue and white used in various shades and patterns create a soothing backdrop for this bedroom that happens to be overlooking campus of my alma mater Auburn University … so this was such a fun and special project!

Without red as an obvious color choice, warmth is still created with the patina of mirrors, frames and nail heads… Brown and white is another favorite combination of mine and it worked so well with blue and white, too! Further warmth related to Red can be seen in flowers or artwork… All in all creating harmony and cadence with a repetition Sister Parish Design ‘s “Dolly” on the upholstered, bed chair, lampshades, and even Wallpaper in the bathroom… a Cowtan & Tout grass cloth with bold Franz of ferns printed creates a wonderful scale and backdrop… The perfect place rest and relax after game day!

Leading up to 4 July, we will dive into some more uses of red and coral and Terra Cotta but we had to give Blue and White a proper shout out… Even when it’s 100° outside the cooling visuals help!

I couldn’t help but choose a favorite Rolling Stones song which I’m kind of excited about being stuck in my head for the rest of the day! Ruby, Tuesday with an emphasis on summer blues!
