Thistle and Grace Florals

And that’s a wrap on another wedding season freelancing with LINDSAY FONDO! This gorgeous setup took place Boscobel House and Gardens on a perfect autumn afternoon. What a joy to design this ceremony that blended so beautifully into its surroundings. 🍁🍂

Night one of Broom and Bloom was a success! Hot apple c***r, fresh botanicals, and a touch of magic among women. 🍁✨🎃

As florists, we spend so much time creating for others that sometimes we risk losing the joy that comes from the act of creating simply to create. Holidays, events, and weddings demand so much from us that it often leaves little room for nourishment.

How often do you find yourself depleted even though you love what you do? When was the last time you created a beautiful floral arrangement just for you? What helps you reconnect with your creativity after a demanding season?

As a seasoned yoga teacher, I’m exploring some ideas that bring together my two loves- floral artistry and yoga. I’m looking for other floral artists who are interested in creative renewal, mindfulness, and meaningful connection. Right now I’m listening and learning so your perspectives would mean a lot to me.

And then there were two… 🧹🌸

After the first Broom & Bloom workshop sold out, I added a second evening - and there are now just 2 spots remaining.

Join me in the studio for an autumn evening of botanical broom making. We’ll begin with natural broomcorn and build our brooms by hand before embellishing them with fresh and dried seasonal botanicals, mosses, foliage, ribbon, and whatever wonderfully strange details call to you.

No floral design experience needed. All materials are provided, along with seasonal refreshments and a little exploration of the folklore and symbolism surrounding the witch’s broom and the botanicals we’ll be working with.

Saturday, October 24 · 6–8 PM
Thistle & Grace Floral Studio · Bethel, CT
$89 per person · 2 spots left

Intention and attention to detail is everything to me- both in my work and my environment. My floral studio is more than a work space; it’s a space of reprieve, a space to feel inspired, and a space to create beautiful designs. Vintage wedding photos of both family members and strangers alike adorn the walls, a small space for meditation and ritual sits a top the counter, books about gardens, flowers, and design hug the corner, and unique vessels take up room in the closet. If my studio is any indication about the love and care I put into my floral work, you can be sure you are in good hands. 🌸🩷
