Missing New York already. So much in my camera roll after a day of showrooms and shopping. Quarters was a must. I walked in curious and left with a wishlist. The In Common With lighting collection is something else in person. And the burl wood. I’ve been going back and forth on it for my own home for months, but seeing it there, in that room, in that light, settled something for me. It’s everything. Apparatus was just as captivating the second time around. Having recently visited the LA showroom, walking into New York felt like meeting the same person in a different mood. The red room pulled me in immediately. Khaite, there was never a question. I always find my way there. XXNT

A new spot just opened up in West Hollywood, Laurel Supply opened inside an iconic midcentury building in West Hollywood, same owners as Laurel Hardware. The whole vibe is so clean and elevated, they’ve got everything. Full grocery section, smoothie bar, hot bar, pizza, gelato... it’s giving upscale but make it functional. Tried one of their smoothies and it was so good. High-end grocery stores have no right being this fun to walk around and I’m loving the direction everyday shopping interiors are going. XXNT

Which slab should I choose?

It’s happening. A full kitchen demo. Sometimes starting over is the smarter move, and after talking it through with my contractor and cabinet maker, it was clear this was one of those times.

This one has been a process, so many directions I could take it. So I’m doing something I don’t always do at this stage: heading to the marble yard first. When the vision isn’t clicking, the stone has a way of making it all come together.
Tomorrow I’ll show you what I find XXNT

Should I get another black olive tree?

Showing you inside in New York City and my favorite finds.

It was so refreshing to see what good design looks like right now. So much new inspiration. The shift toward sustainable design is happening, and it’s beautiful.

I was so excited to speak on a panel about storytelling for design brands. To everyone I met, lovely seeing you. XXNT

Art Deco is back and I am so here for it. Neo Deco is basically the more liveable version, same jewel tones, walnut furniture, velvet, sculptural lighting, glossy finishes that catch the light just right. But you don’t need to redo your whole space. One statement chair or a lacquered console is honestly enough. Glamour doesn’t have to be a lot. It just has to be the right decision. XXNT

Retail design is about creating an experience from the first step inside. The layout, the light, the materials. Every decision shapes how your space communicates before a word is exchanged.

Modern retail has a social dimension. People come to feel something, share inspiration, and connect with a brand on their own terms. The spaces that do this well don’t rely on advertising. They rely on design.

Every brand has a story. Your interior is how it gets told. XXNT
