Apparently, today is a good day to remind everyone just how much Google reviews matter to a small family business. 😏🌸

We’ve been serving our community for more than 50 years, and we are incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful, loyal customers who know who we are and how we do business.

Today, however, was one of those special small-business days.
A customer situation became unnecessarily unpleasant, and when we decided that being threatened and spoken to disrespectfully—especially to Debbie, my mother, is not a requirement of doing business, we refunded the order and politely declined to continue the relationship.
And, shockingly enough, a negative Google review followed. 😉

Here’s where our amazing customers come in.

I am sure most of you know my mom. She is one of the most pleasant people you could know. Always has a smile and a laugh, would never hurt a fly, could hit her thumb with a hammer and wouldn’t even swear. Who could treat her awful!!

If you’ve actually done business with us—whether we’ve helped you celebrate a birthday, wedding, anniversary, new baby, holiday, or helped your family during a funeral—we would truly appreciate it if you would take a moment to leave an honest Google review about your experience.
Because one angry customer may be very motivated to tell their story.
We’d just love for the hundreds of happy customers we’ve served over the years to tell theirs, too. ❤️
Small businesses live and die by their reputations, and your support means more than you know.

Thank you for continuing to support our family, our employees, and the business we’ve worked so hard to build. We appreciate you!

🌸 If Ward’s has taken good care of you, we’d love to hear about it:

The story of my sailor man: In 1979 we took a family trip to Disney World and saw this sailor captain in a shop. He was expensive and we couldn’t bring him home, so a picture had to do. Back in Beverly years later I was driving past a boat supply store in Salem and there he was smiling at me from the window. Of course I had to stop! He had a small crack in his neck, but that didn’t matter, so I bought it and surprised Greg with it.
He first lost his head when Parker and his friend were playing ball in the house and knocked it off. I fixed it, but while feeding the birds the other day I knocked it off again ☹️. Thanks to my employee , Kym O’Brien , he is now back and better than ever!

Ward's Florist Legacy:

For more than 140 years, the Ward Family name has been associated with flowers in Beverly - From George E. Ward's Victorian-era greenhouses in Beverly Cove (on Cross Street) to today's family owned business on Cabot Street, the business reflects the evolution of the American floral industry - from locally grown greenhouse flowers to modern day floral design and delivery.

While Ward's methods have changed through the years, our central mission has remained remarkably consistent: providing quality flowers and service to commemorate life's happiest celebrations and it's most solemn moments
