Soft Soleil Saturday over here 💛
Normally I’m on projects and sharing all the behind-the-scenes. I unintentionally took today off — and honestly? It felt needed. I’m still in knee surgery recovery and giving my body a little breathing room.
I’m still here, still dreaming up beautiful spaces, just moving at a gentler pace for a minute.
Grateful for flexibility, family time, and a business that can ebb and flow with life.

Soleil’s Story
Hi! Welcome to Soleil Furnishings. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a mom, wife, and artist. I never used to consider myself a creative or artistic person, but after becoming a mother in 2011, I kept searching for something for my sanity, an outlet for my mind! One day in 2013, I noticed a buffet on the side of my road about 2 blocks down from my house. I asked my husband that if it was still there when he got home from work, could we please have it! Every naptime and bedtime that week, ALL I wanted to do was work on that piece. I painted it white and then turquoise, then bright turquoise, distressed it (took hours!!) and used my everlasting polycrylic for the first time. I loved it! It made me so happy to work on, and so happy to see each time I walked through the foyer. Everyone who came over commented on it and several said I should sell it. Well, I’d just painted that for ME, but I wouldn’t mind painting something else if it’d sell! And that’s where it all began!
When I wanted to start posting online, I thought I should maybe come up with a name for myself, in case this turned into something. I LOVE sunshines and I love French things and I’m all about bringing a little sunshine to your space, thus Soleil Furnishings! I’ve now turned my hobby into a business, while still being able to focus on taking care of my family and home.
I paint furniture and furnishings which sell online, at Laurel Grove Shop in Sudbury, and from my home, (by appointment). I also am available for custom work. I can paint something you have in your home, that needs some updating or a color change. I can also hunt for a piece you would like for a certain space or need in your home. We can customize its color(s) and add stained tops, drawers, patterned drawer or linings, and hardware, so that it’s perfect for your home! My favorite combo is #paintstainandpaper, stained top, painted body, and some {pop!} of floral paper inside the drawers! To get a taste of my work, go to photos on my page and click on albums.
