Longer post than normal.
Full transparency... this table is a mess. Stringing beads is something I'm not proficient at, yet. Sitting here, struggling, thoughts wander to how the indigenous tribes mastered this art. They carved their own beads from stone, bone, and shells. We buy them, without effort and time committed. Their mastery of creating beautiful pieces of art and apparel where the colors and symbols represent Earth, family, and tribe heritage. Skill and respect in a tangible form.
My thoughts then take me Grouseland. Within the home and on display are remarkable items of craftsmanship and history. The colors, design, and beauty for my viewing. For your viewing. To look closely at the sinew, beading, and vibrant designs is a gift this home offers. (Not to mention many more.) Another visit is a definite must. The guided tour paired with the beauty of the home and artifacts contained within makes for a great afternoon activity.
Summer is here! Visit Grouseland and enjoy the tour. Go home and create your own beaded masterpiece. Learn, experiment, and try something new.
The shoes... the shoes... even the soles of the shoes! If you know, you know. Even now, we can be shown that beauty is sometimes in places we least expect.
