Oh that hopeful and happy quilter from a few days ago, has lost the joy 🥹 momentarily. 🤪 We all have a quilt block we dive into, and 1 small mistake turns into several dates with Jack the Ripper. 🤷‍♀️ Had to remind myself DONE is better than perfect! I learned that Art Gallery Fabrics can take a lot of seam ripping, and still look great! 👍 Week 1 of Sweater Weather 26 sew along is done ✅. 8 more weeks to go. Loving the colors! Autumn 🍂 cozy weather.

I’m very excited to be starting quilt weekly sew along! ❤️ I love diving into a fresh kit of gorgeous fabrics. I ordered my kit from Sew Joyful Studio, as I loved her color scheme. I’m a very “organized” quilter, at least on week 1. 😂 Therefore, I love the cutting, labeling, and having it on a design board ready by my machine. I can sit down, and go to my happy place. Stay tuned…tomorrow I’ll show the finished block. Can’t wait to see everyone’s color variations and blocks! ❤️

Fat Quarter Shop Sewcialites #3 done ✔️. They released 1 mystery block a week for 26 weeks. Then you sew the blocks together and bam 💥 you have a finished mystery quilt top! I wanted to use my stash so I stuck Maisie on the job. She carefully went through my fat quarter bundles, and picked the one she loved. 🩷. If you know me…I like plans, patterns, certain colors, and perfection. Yes a bit type A. 😵‍💫. Therefore, this quilt is totally out of my comfort zone, 🤷‍♀️ guess I’ll have Maisie choose more often. Turned out cute!

Another beautiful quilt! 🩷 This is a unique story, as it’s been sitting for 30 years! The top was pieced years ago, and stored away. I had the privilege of long arming the quilt, so it can now be loved & snuggled. It reminds me of the sentimentality of quilts. How precious they can be to family and friends, even years later! 🥰

Well today was a busy day of binding quilts. If you know me, you know it’s my nemesis. My favorite part of quilting is getting the quilt loaded on the long arm and picking the perfect pattern and thread! 🧵 Absolutely love it! 🩷. Not so much love for the binding process. But I’m determined to just keep sewing. 👍 And…I do love piecing individual blocks, and seeing the quilt top come together. 😍. Happy quilting friends! These new quilts will be going to the Red Lodge Art show in Red Lodge in a few weeks.
